Abstract
The effect of knowledge of previous responses on the self-rating of a set of ‘thermometer scales’ has been investigated in a small number of dermatological out-patients. Informed Ss tended to show larger differences in scores between successive occasions than uninformed Ss, and it is suggested that this might be due to finer discrimination. Keywords
