Abstract
Using male albino rats in a one-unit Y-maze found that the number of days to the discrimination learning criterion was a negatively accelerated, increasing function of delay of reward during acquisition. Response perseveration was an increasing function of delay during acquisition. Discussion in terms of acquisition. Discussion in terms of acquisition as the adapting out of competing responses, and extinction the de-adapting of adapted competing responses. 25 references.
