Abstract

The first instance of predation on alfalfa weevil eggs, Hypera postica (Coleoptera: Curculionidae), by the eastern flower thrips, Frankliniella tritici (Thysanoptera: Thripidae) is reported. The age of the weevil eggs was found to have no effect on their predation by F. tritici , but predation was influenced by minimum temperatures.
