Abstract
Two triterpenoid saponins (1 and 2) were isolated from Desmodii Herba [the dried whole plants of Desmodium styracifolium (OSBECK) MERR. (Leguminosae)] and their chemical structures were characterized as soyasponin I and a new saponin, 3-O-[.alpha.-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1 .fwdarw. 2)-.beta.-D-galactopyranosyl-(1 .fwdarw. 2)-.beta.-D-glucuronopyraosyl]soyaspogenol E, respectively, by chemical and spectroscopic means. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
