Abstract
We report 1.3µm band amplification in a neodymium (Nd3+) doped single-mode fluorozirconate fibre. Gain of over 10dB was observed in a 10m long Nd3+ doped fibre at around 1.33µm. This wavelength is the closest to the important 1.3µm telecommunication systems so far reported.Keywords
