The Cutaneous Manifestations of Toxocariasis

Abstract
The case is reported of an elderly man who had never left Britain and who developed the distinctive migratory panniculitis of visceral larva migrans. Evidence is presented incriminating Toxocara canis as the probable cause. The literature on the prevalence and life cycle of T. canis in the dog and in man is examined and it is suggested that many human infections are probably undiagnosed.
