Abstract
Some observations have been recorded on hibernation of meadow jumping mice (Zapus hudsonius) and on their activity during emergence from a torpid state. (Eadie, Jour. Mamm., 30:307,1949; Nicholson, ibid., 18:103,1933.; Schwartz, ibid., 32:227–228,1951.; and Sheldon, ibid., 19: 324–332, 1938.). The following case seems worth recording because the mouse passed repeatedly from a torpid state to active condition within a few days' time.
