Abstract
Experience has shown that schistosomiasis interferes, materially with the physical stamina of native troops, in spite of earlier reports to the contrary. The frequent involvement of the appendix and adjacent cecal area is one of the more common reasons for such physical break-downs. In such cases surgery as well as drug therapy is necessary. Keywords
