Abstract

The degradation of some water-soluble cellulose ethers and one cellulose ester under the influence of cellulase derived from Aspergillus niger has been investigated. The influence of enzyme concentration and of the degree of polymerization are discussed. Some factors determining the resistance to degradation are pointed out.
