Abstract
The author points out that the victims and perpetrators of abuse in institutions are in many significant ways similar to the victims and perpetrators of abuse in homes. He indicates that, therefore, systems therapy may be effective in institutions as it is in families and suggests ways this could be done. Finally, he describes the Seattle Day Nursery as one program that tries to alleviate the stresses in both families and agencies that lead to abuse.
