Abstract
Tissue levels of ATP were measured in rat kidneys following periods of warm ischemia: immediately after the ischemic period and after the kidney was reperfused with blood for 10 min. ATP levels at the end of the period of ischemia were similar for ischemic periods of 10-60 min and gave no indication of subsequent renal function. The amount of ATP regenerated in 10 min of reperfusion correlates with the duration of the ischemic period and with subsequent renal function. This publication has 6 references indexed in Scilit:
