Abstract
Graduate students in environmental biology are advised to examine opportunities in private sectors and nonacademic research centers. Personnel trained in both ecology and environmental science should have excellent administrative and research opportunities in areas such as impact assessment, resource management, systems analysis, and land-use planning. Curricular development, academic advising, and federal funding should reflect basic research and problem-solving research needs in the future. Keywords
