Gender Differences in Attitudes to Science and School for First Year Secondary School Children in a Variety of Teaching Groups

Abstract
The evidence suggests that single‐sex groups for science, whether in mixed schools or in single‐sex schools does not increase girls attitude towards science. Boys are shown to have significantly more positive attitudes towards science and practical science than girls, but girls show a more positive attitude towards school than do boys.Keywords
