Abstract
This paper describes a full wave analysis of infinite arrays of proximity coupled rectangular microstrip antennas. The broad band scanning properties of these arrays are analyzed numerically in conjunction with experimental results to validate the analysis. A design example is given to demonstrate the substantial effect that a large scanning array environment has upon the bandwidth of a proximity coupled element. Keywords
