Abstract
This study evaluated the relationship between alienation and drug abuse. The operational definition of alienation came from the works of Keniston. Two hundred seventy-three males at a Midwestern University were sent questionnaires. The return rate for the questionnaire was 84.2%. Alienation was found to be directly related to drug use. An increase in alienation was associated with an increase in drug abuse. Keywords
