Abstract
A numerical analysis of reheating is performed for a classical scalar field with an exponentially flat potential. An operational definition of the reheating time is given involving the gradient contribution to the inflaton field energy. For the parameter range studied the product of reheating time and Hubble constant H is found to be of order one, being approximately independent of the value of H.Keywords
