Abstract
This paper analyzes the end-to-end delay of a selective-repeat ARQ protocol which tries to adaptively use the channel idle time. The end-to-end delay consists of three parts: queueing delay at the transmitter, transmission delay over the channel, and resequencing delay at the receiver.
