Abstract
Calf thymus DNA was methylated in vitro with cell extracts of Bacillus subtilis OG3R (r+m+) and S-adenosyl[Me-3H]methionine. After depurination of the [3H]methylated DNA, the analysis of the pyrimidine dinucleotides revealed the following positions of the methylated nucleosides (indicated by an asterisk) within the BsuRI recognition sequence: 5' dG--dG--dC--dC dC--dC--dG--dG 5'.Keywords
