Abstract
This is the first in a series of papers in which the mechanism of fabric wrinkling is analyzed. General geometric principles are outlined. Apparatus is described for the measurement of filament, yam, and fabric bending recovery, fabric wrinkling, filament bending modulus, interfiber friction, and planar shear properties of fabrics. Keywords
