Abstract
A case of Addison''s Disease with subsequent development of hyperthyroidism is described. After the adrenal insufficiency had been treated for a period of 7 years with cortisone and salt hormone the patient developed nervousness, personality disorder, weight loss, tachycardia, and an enlarged thyroid gland. Hyperthyroidism was confirmed by an elevated radioactive iodine uptake, a high serum PBI-131, and an elevated serum protein bound iodine. The patient was unusual in that she had hypercholesteremia and a low basal metabolic rate. Keywords
