Abstract
We show that the surface correlation energy of a semi-infinite quantum plasma described in the hydrodynamic model is represented by a convergent integral over all wave numbers with no cutoff, and we determine its value explicitly here. The boundary condition at the planar surface is that of specular reflection, and the dynamic nonlocal response properties of the semi-infinite plasma are taken to be those of the hydrodynamic model. Keywords
