Abstract
Probe configurations have been designed which allow thermal conductivity measurements to be made on rocks using transient heating techniques. Two heat sources have been tested, the first is a line source which is compatible with needle probe instrumentation and the second is a ring source which can be used with small samples. Both probes can be used under field conditions. Keywords
