Abstract
Ten strains of C. reinhardtii flagellar mutants were successfully cryopreserved using 2 cryogenic freezing methods. Dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO) was found to be the only effective cryoprotectant of those tested. After recovery, cells were viable and morphologically indistinguishable from non-frozen cells. No recovery was obtained after lyophilization. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
