Prolonged Paralysis in Pseudocholinesterase Deficiency

Abstract
A patient had prolonged apnea and paralysis after being given succinylcholine chloride. She was later found to have a deficiency of pseudocholinesterase. Results of repetitive nerve stimulation studies, done easily at the bedside, confirmed the diagnosis of neuromuscular blockade.Keywords
