Tooth Discoloration in Cystic Fibrosis

Abstract
In recent years, attention has been focused on grossly observable, often severe discoloration of teeth of a gray-black or brown character in patients with cystic fibrosis of the pancreas. Quite often, this discoloration appears to be localized, but not definitively, to the middle and cervical thirds of the clinical crowns of teeth. In order to document and analyze data concerning this peculiar tooth discoloration. a study of a group of patients with cystic fibrosis was undertaken.
