Abstract
The azurin gene from Pseudomonas aeruginosa is located on a 1.3 kb long PstI DNA fragment. Its nucleotide sequence has been determined. It appears that the gene codes for a pre-protein with a 19 amino acid long signal sequence which possibly assists in the transport of the azurin over the periplasmic membrane. Keywords
