Abstract
Core sampling of wool; and estimation and use of components of variance to determine an efficient combination of number of bales sampled per lot, and number of cores per bale, are described. Various methods in estimating variance components, and precision of the estimates, are considered. Cost function in connection with error is discussed; 9 references are given. Keywords
