$α + α$ Reaction and the Origin of ${}^{7}{Li}$

Abstract

Cross sections are presented for the production of

{}^{7}{Li}

and

{}^{7}{Be}

in the

α + α

reaction between threshold and 140 MeV. Implications of these measurements for the problem of the origin of

{}^{7}{Li}

in the universe are discussed.
