Abstract
The pulse width evolution in fiber links concatenated by simple analog bit rate transparent optoelectronic repeaters is experimentally investigated, demonstrating transmission of pulses at 1.55 /spl mu/m with stationary pulse width of 150 ps over 3600 km concatenated 60-km standard fiber links. The experiments agree well with simulations and theory. Keywords
