Abstract
A new method, using only available array data, is developed to determine the dip and the strike of a major velocity discontinuity such as the Mohorovičić discontinuity. The method employs the coherencies of body waves in the P coda from both the vertical and horizontal detectors to obtain the slowness and azimuth of the direct and the converted wave from a major discontinuity. An example is given from array measurements in southern Alberta. Keywords
