Properties of high-spin states inNb91andZr91viaLi6-induced reactions

Abstract
The properties of high-spin states in Nb91 and Zr91 have been studied with the Sr88(Li6,3n)Nb91 and Sr88(Li6,p2n)Zr91 reactions. In-beam measurements with Ge(Li) and Si(Li) detectors of γ-ray excitation functions, γγ coincidences, γ-ray angular distributions, and pulsed beam-γ timing spectra were made to establish decay schemes, level energies, spin-parity assignments, γ-ray multipolarities, and isomeric lifetimes. All of the high-spin states involving the π1g92, π2p12, and ν2d52 orbitals as well as other more complicated states were identified. In particular, the theoretically predicted isomeric states in Nb91 and Zr91 were found: the |(1g92)22p12,172 state in Nb91 is at 2035 keV with a τ=5.42±0.18 μsec, and the |(1g92)22d52,212+ state in Zr91 is at 3167 keV with a
