Abstract
The value of selective renal arteriography in the differential diagnosis between renal cyst and renal tumor is stressed. Important technical factors are mentioned, which are necessary for successful renal arteriography. Three cases of centrally necrotic hypernephroma have been correctly diagnosed by arteriography. The angiographic appearance of these lesions is described and compared with the signs of a renal cyst. A Perlmann tumor and a metastatlc lesion have not been angiographically differentiated from a hypernephroma. Keywords
