Abstract
Summary: The application of adaptive implicit methods to a dead-oil steam simulator is discussed. Various test results are presented. The adaptive implicit method works well on thermal problems, demonstrating a 30 to 50% computing time reduction compared with a fully implicit solution technique, while giving essentially the same results. Keywords
