Abstract
Summary: A case of childhood bipolar disorder, manic type, is presented in which electroconvulsive therapy was used for the acute manic episode. The pharmacological complications which led to this choice of treatment and the computerized tomography finding of ventricular enlargement, are discussed.Keywords
