Abstract
Rats were trained in a runway with 20% sucrose reward and then groups were switched to 1% sucrose, water, or no reward; a control group received 1% throughout the experiment. "As expected, a reduction in the quantity of an incentive led to a decline in performance. However, . . . this study did not find either an abrupt shift in performance or a depression effect."
