Abstract
An annotated list is provided of 60 spp. (plus probably 3 additional subspecies) of ticks now known to occur in the Anglo-Egyptian Sudan. Previously, 23 spp. were reported from this area. The following new name combinations are used: Boophilus annulatus (? congolensis), Haemaphysalis houyi, and Rhipicephalus longus, Amblyomma werneri werneri Schulze, 1932, is considered a synonym of A. nuttalli Donitz, 1909. The original female description of Haemaphysalis calcarata is believed actually to refer to H. houyi. Keywords
