Abstract
Infestation of soybean seeds with C. dematium var. truncata, C. gloeosporioides, C. graminicola and G. cingulata reduced seedling emergence in the greenhouse and field. C. destructivum reduced emergence only in the greenhouse, G. glycines only under field conditions. C. dematium var. truncata, C. gloeosporioides and G. cingulata were the only species that caused severe hypocotyl and cotyledonary infection and significant stunting of seedlings. As potential pathogens of soybean seedlings in the field, C. dematium var. truncata, C. gloeosporioides, and G. cingulata appear more significant than the other species investigated. Keywords
