Abstract
The underrepresentation of minorities in the biological sciences has been a longstanding problem in the United States. At present, the representation of minorities in undergraduate science education is relatively low. Similarly, the proportion of Black Ph.D.'s, Black enrollment in graduate science programs, and Black career scientists all remain at about 1 or 2%.Keywords
