Abstract
In recent times, the study of publications in major hospitality and tourism journals has increased considerably. Yet there have been several criticisms of these studies. The purpose of this study is to broaden the scope of publication analysis to include both hospitality and tourism journals, to include more journals, and to take a more international approach than was taken in other studies. This research examines research contributions to 11 leading hospitality and tourism journals from 1992 to 2001, the most recent 10-year period for which complete publication information was available. Findings are organized and reported according to author affiliation, repeat authorship, and research contributions from different regions of the world. Keywords
