Abstract
It has been pointed out that one of the great stumbling blocks to the prevention of infection in the operating room is not the lack of proper equipment and mechanics but rather the lack of discipline and the enforcement of good technique, specifically inadequate scrubbing, gloving, gowning, and, most especially, hair covering by the personnel, as well as preparation of the patient's skin. Keywords
