Abstract
A statistical study of high frequency radio blackouts in Canada is made from records taken at several ionosphere sounding stations. Both vertical incidence and communication data are examined to determine the geographical, seasonal, and diurnal distributions of the frequency of occurrence of blackout. It is found that blackouts are most abundant in the morning and that the time of maximum occurrence increases with increasing latitude.Keywords
