Abstract
This article reviews citation analysis as an indicator of scholarly activity and discusses a discrepancy between two previously published studies on the academic affiliations of social work authors, in light of the authors' present citation analysis of six major social work journals. The present study largely replicates the findings of one previous report, suggesting that there are several universities whose faculty have, for many years, consistently made substantial contributions to the professional literature. Keywords
