Robust High-gain Feedback Control of Infinite-Dimensional Minimum-Phase Systems

Abstract
This paper deals with a certain class of infinite-dimensional minimum-phase systems. We show that these systems can be stabilized by multivariable PT-controllers with sufficiently high gains; it turns out that the P1-controllers under consideration achieve almost decoupling and almost perfect tracking at high gain. Further, we prove several sufficient conditions for robust stability. Two results on pole-zero cancellations and closed-loop stability, which are used throughout the paper, may be of independent interest.
