Analysis of Distribution of Ca45 in Dog Bone by a Quantitative Autoradiographic Method

Abstract
A new method is described for quantitative autoradiography of bone. This method is used to measure the relative importance of bone formation, long-term exchange, and secondary mineralization in the retention of tracer doses of Ca45 in dogs of different ages. The latter two factors make a significant contribution to the total retention of tracer.
