Leg Arterial Insufficiency In Patients With Significant Coronary Artery Disease

Abstract
Arterial insufficiency of the legs is common in patients with significant coronary artery disease (CAD). Evidence of such insufficiency should be sought and considered on the overall management of patients with CAD. The coexistence of these 2 disorders is not surprising in view of the common risk factors. The incidence of significant vascular insufficiency of the lower extremities would have been higher if postexercise systolic blood pressure curves were studied. Arterial insufficiency of the legs does not correlate with the number of coronary vessels involved.
