Abstract
One-dimensional coordination polymers consisting of {Mn[N(CN)2]2}∞ structural units have been characterized. Incorporation of 2,2′-bipyridine and 4,4′-bipyridine affords zigzag and cylindrical chain structures, respectively; weak antiferromagnetic coupling is also observed. 4,4′-bipyridine unexpectedly binds as a monodentate ligand. Keywords
