Abstract
Diploid and haploid isolates of Fomes roseus and F. subroseus were compared serologically. Immune sera, developed against an isolate from each species, were caused to react with the mycelial extracts and residual media of diploid and haploid isolates of both species using the agar double-diffusion technique. Similar precipitin lines occurring among all the reactants indicated similarity and serological relationship between the two species. In addition there were precipitin lines which were species and isolate specific. The combination of intravenous and intramuscular inoculations with adjuvant produced a titer of 1/2560 which was higher than that obtained by intravenous inoculations only.
