Abstract
The measurements of 142 female punch operators and the dimensions of their chairs and punch machines were studied. It was shown that the factor controlling the height of the seat, and in consequence the posture of the operator, is the height of the keyboard. The design of the equipment is discussed and suggestions made for improving its design. Reference is made to other studies bearing on the same problem. Keywords
