Abstract
Underwater photographs have revealed an extensive field of manganese nodules in the Southwestern Pacific Basin, south-west of Rarotonga. The nodules almost completely cover the sea floor and are comparable in surface density with those from the siliceous ooze province south of Hawaii.Keywords
