Abstract
The time-domain behavior of the general nonuniform RC transmission line is presented. It is shown that the impulse response is a "totally positive" density function. The necessary and sufficient condition on a time function to be the impulse response of a nonuniform RC line is obtained. The general properties, including the bounds on the impulse response and its asymptotic behavior, are given. Keywords
